Day-Training offers a unique and flexible service to owners who have a busy schedule and lack the time required to meet their dog’s training needs. I teach your dog the new behaviours and then transfer them to you, showing you how to maintain them. You can stay around and watch or not, the choice is yours. This is particularly popular with clients who work full time.
An Initial Assessment is a pre-requisite for all Day Training. A veterinary referral is not a requirement for this training service, but it is recommended and may be requested at any stage.
How day-training works
A one-time assessment is carried out in your home. I meet with you to obtain a detailed assessment of your dog, discuss your expectations and identify your goals. Between us, we develop a custom day-training plan for your dog.
Private training session appointments. I come to your home and I train your dog in whatever environment best suits the session aims. This may be in your house or garden, or out in your local community. After each session, I will email you a report of what we covered and let you know how your dog progressed.
Transfer session. After your goals have been met in our training sessions, I meet with you to transfer your dog’s new behaviours to you and teach you how to maintain them.
A follow-up session 2 – 3 weeks after the last transfer session is arranged to check in and make sure you are still on track.
The amount of time and number of sessions required to teach your dog new behaviours or resolve will problems depend on your expectations, and your dogs’ temperament and experience.
The cost of the initial assessment is £70.00 and takes between 1 – 1 ½ hours.
Private session appointments are charged at £40.00 per hour and last for a minimum of 1 hour. Thereafter prices are rounded to the nearest half hour. Where return travel from TQ11 0AA exceeds 20 miles a 45p per mile surcharge is necessary to cover travel costs.

Day-Training sessions should be purchased in the quantity recommended to best meet your dog training needs (determined together during the initial assessment).
